A Sense of Place

Selected for exhibition at the Naples Art Institute 2025 biennial invitational.

Show opens September 2 – and closes on November 30th. – www.naplesart.org

This painting was inspired by a family photograph taken by the artist’s father, Joseph Reed, of her Mother, Shirley Reed, in 1973 while on vacation in Arizona. Exploring a variety of tactile materials, Reed tried to capture the emotional depth of the magnificent surroundings and her Mother’s moment of reflection.
